Our founder, Bob Breen, started studying Jeet Kune Do in 1979 under master and worldwide respected figure Dan Inosanto, who himself trained under Bruce Lee, father of Jeet Kune Do.
Regarded as the father of JKD/ Kali and Filipino martial arts in the UK and Europe, Bob has released a range of self-defence books and DVDs. After 30 years of teaching in Hoxton, Bob semi-retired and handed over the running of the academy to Paul Clark and Steve Payne, who continue teaching JKD and its priniciples of freedom of combat.
Our classes are suitable for any level, and for both men and women. We have both male and female instructors and over the years, we have produced amazingly skilled black belts in JKD and 4D combat.
