Dutch style kickboxing relies on heavy punches as in Western boxing, which are used to set up heavy Thai style kicks and knees.
Its strike combinations are focused on good body mechanics that allow you to hit more than once!
Our class is 75 minutes long and comprises five sections:
Warm-up: shadowboxing - body mobility - co-ordination - kicking
Dutch numbering system - combining hands and legs while emphasising good hip movement
Defence combinations: crushing - catching - blocking - countering
Then we'll put it all together on the pads
To finish off, light and technical sparring, focusing on strike combinations and NOT POWER!
